A new iPhone application joins Wal-Mart in cooperating with Homeland Security - encouraging fellow citizens to spy on each other!

NEWS BRIEF: "iPhone snitch network launched", by Jason Douglass, InfoWars.com, December 13, 2010

"A new iPhone App with the misleading name ‘PatriotApp’ attempts to draw on the power of the patriot movement, turning smartphone users into a gigantic snitch network."

I had always been suspicious of the new "Smart Phones", believing in my heart of hearts that any device that sophisticated had to have a government intelligence gathering capability. In this particular instance, the guilty party is the manufacturer (of the app/TPR) itself as they cooperated with the Federal Government to create this particularly onerous capability.

"... contrary to the services one might expect, this app allows users to report any ‘suspicious’ behavior directly linking them with top government agencies. Much like the new DHS program ‘If you see something, say something’ this app is meant to turn average citizens into a network of spies feeding information back to the federal government."

The creator of this horrific phone application even has the gall to brag about how extensively it is cooperating with the Federal Government! Listen:

"Citizen Concepts announces the launch of PatriotAppTM, the world’s first iPhone application that empowers citizens to assist government agencies in creating safer, cleaner, and more efficient communities via social networking and mobile technology. This app was founded on the belief that citizens can provide the most sophisticated and broad network of eyes and ears necessary to prevent terrorism, crime, environmental negligence, or other malicious behavior."

This justification of cooperating with a government intent upon extending its social networking capabilities deep enough into the average community that it can establish and sustain an Absolute Dictatorship, is just awful. Every single dictatorship in human history has established a network of average citizens who are willing to watch other average citizens, reporting any activity which the government deems "suspicious". What the dictatorship is attempting to do is to ferret out any dissident activity which might some day be a threat to the continuation of the Absolute Dictator. A government agent has responsibility to work a particular area of the city, handling the snitches much as a police officer will control snitches in a high crime area.

This sophisticated phone app accomplishes this goal without having to rely on a human agent.

Finally, the wording of the goal, above, is sufficiently vague as to invite abuse. What constitutes "environmental negligence" or "other malicious behavior"? These "offenses" are so vague that the government can intervene in almost any situation against almost anyone.

Remember, in every past dictatorship, these anonymous tips have been used by people to "get even" with their enemies! Do not believe, even for an instant, that one of your enemies could get even with you by reporting to authorities that you looked guilty of "environmental negligence" or "other malicious behavior"!

You just might be driving down the road, or working in your lawn or shopping at Wal-Mart when someone might feel like reporting you to authorities! Earlier this week, I read where this citizen reporting system will extend to retailers other than Wal-Mart and perhaps even to sports stadiums!

The government is successfully bringing down the required citizen reporting network to the street level. This reality means that the time for implementing this Absolute Dictatorship is far closer than many had thought.

What is so pathetically sorry about all this ongoing "brown shirts" propaganda & mental conditioning that the sleeping people are being fed, is the slant they use to dupe people, ie, that you are being a VERY GOOD PERSON if you participate in snitching & playing spy.

Remember that public school up North that was offering money &/or sport shoes to kids for ratting on anybody?

And now this app which seduces the unknowing with its PATRIOT title! A true patriot would never fall for such a ruse.

Boycott the app & any other involvement with any similar agenda. If you don't understand what I'm saying, your homework is way past due.

As of this writing, there were 88 comments for this app, all giving 1 star (because you have to at least give 1 star in order to comment), with only about 4-of-88 people liking the app. All the others are very well awake & recognize this app for what it is & said so in no uncertain terms! A great time reading their educated comments. Bravo!
